The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently updated. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

4. Website Availability and Changes

We seek to keep the website accurate, useful, and available. However, we do not guarantee that every page, feature, recording, form, or service will always be available or free from errors.

We may change, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any portion of the website without prior notice. Information about gathering times, locations, events, speakers, ministries, registration availability, and other church activities may change.

When planning to attend an event or gathering, users should confirm current details through the website or by contacting the Church.

5. Appropriate Use of the Website

You may use this website only for lawful, personal, and noncommercial purposes consistent with its intended ministry and informational functions.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or harmful purposes

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers, forms, databases, or related systems

  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the website

  • Introduce viruses, malicious code, automated attacks, or other harmful technology

  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, download, or collect substantial portions of the website without permission

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or relationship with the Church

  • Submit false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or unlawful material

  • Collect information about other website users without authorization

  • Use Church content, names, logos, recordings, or materials for commercial purposes without written permission

  • Present Church content in a misleading manner or imply an endorsement, partnership, or affiliation that does not exist

  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access restrictions associated with the website

We may restrict or block access to the website when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the website and its original content are owned by or licensed to Gospel Life Church. This may include:

  • The Gospel Life Church name and logo

  • Website design and graphics

  • Written articles and ministry descriptions

  • Sermons, teaching materials, and study resources

  • Audio and video recordings

  • Photographs and illustrations

  • Downloads, documents, and forms

  • Ministry names, slogans, and branding elements

This content is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

Third-party materials, including certain photographs, music, videos, fonts, logos, Bible translations, quotations, software, and embedded content, remain the property of their respective owners and are used under permission, license, attribution, or other applicable legal provisions.

7. Permission to Use and Share Church Content

You may view, download, print, or share links to publicly available Church content for personal, family, ministry, educational, or other noncommercial purposes, provided that you:

  • Do not materially alter the content

  • Do not remove copyright, attribution, or ownership notices

  • Do not misrepresent the Church’s teaching or position

  • Do not sell or commercially exploit the content

  • Clearly identify Gospel Life Church as the source when appropriate

You may share brief quotations or excerpts from sermons and written resources with reasonable attribution.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, broadcast, upload to another platform, create derivative works from, or commercially use substantial portions of the website or its media without prior written permission from Gospel Life Church.

Permission requests may be submitted using the contact information at the end of these Terms.

8. Sermons, Podcasts, and Teaching Resources

Sermons, podcasts, articles, videos, and other teaching resources represent Christian instruction offered within the doctrinal and ministry context of Gospel Life Church.

These resources are provided for general spiritual formation and education. They are not intended to create an individualized pastoral, counseling, fiduciary, legal, medical, or professional relationship between the user and Gospel Life Church, its pastors, elders, staff members, volunteers, speakers, or contributors.

A sermon, podcast, article, or website response should not be treated as a substitute for:

  • Personal pastoral care

  • Licensed medical or mental-health treatment

  • Professional legal advice

  • Professional financial or tax advice

  • Emergency assistance

  • Mandatory reporting or protective services

Anyone experiencing an emergency or an immediate threat to life or safety should contact the appropriate emergency services rather than relying on a website form, email, prayer-request form, or social-media message.

Views expressed by a guest speaker, linked author, interview participant, or third-party contributor do not necessarily represent every position held by Gospel Life Church.

9. Contact Forms, Prayer Requests, and Other Submissions

The website may allow you to submit contact information, prayer requests, questions, registration information, or other messages.

By submitting information, you represent that:

  • The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • You have the authority to provide the information

  • Your submission does not violate another person’s rights

  • Your submission is not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, deceptive, or abusive

Submitting a form does not guarantee that the Church will respond within a particular period or provide a particular service.

Please do not use general website forms to submit urgent, highly sensitive, or confidential information. Internet communications may not always be secure, and ordinary contact forms may not be suitable for emergency, medical, legal, financial, safeguarding, or deeply confidential matters.

Prayer requests may be shared with appropriate pastors, elders, staff members, ministry leaders, or prayer-team members when reasonably necessary to respond to the request. Users should clearly state when a request contains sensitive information or should be shared only with particular church leaders. Our handling of personal information is further described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Children and Minors

This website is intended for a general audience, including adults and families. It is not designed for children to independently provide personal information without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Children should use the website only with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or guardian.

A parent or legal guardian should submit registrations, contact information, prayer requests, medical information, permission forms, or other personal information concerning a child. By submitting information about a minor, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian or that you otherwise have proper authorization.

Additional permission forms, medical releases, behavioral expectations, safety policies, or ministry-specific agreements may apply to children’s and student-ministry activities.

11. Event and Ministry Registration

Registration through the website does not necessarily guarantee admission, participation, childcare availability, transportation, lodging, financial assistance, or placement in a particular ministry or event.

Participation may be subject to:

  • Space and staffing limitations

  • Eligibility requirements

  • Registration deadlines

  • Payment requirements

  • Safety procedures

  • Background checks

  • Parental permission

  • Medical or liability forms

  • Codes of conduct

  • Ministry-specific policies

The Church may modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel an event or ministry activity when reasonably necessary.

When an event requires payment, a separate refund or cancellation policy may be presented during registration. That specific policy will govern the applicable payment.

12. Online Giving and Financial Contributions

The website may provide access to online giving through a third-party payment processor or church-management platform.

By making a contribution, you represent that:

  • You are authorized to use the selected payment method

  • The information you provide is accurate

  • The contribution is being made voluntarily

  • The transaction is not fraudulent or unlawful

Contributions are used to support the religious and charitable mission of Gospel Life Church.

Designated Contributions

Donors may be able to express a preference that a contribution support a particular ministry, project, campaign, missionary, benevolence need, or purpose. Unless the Church has entered into a separate written agreement, such designations are considered expressions of donor preference.

To preserve proper stewardship, accountability, and charitable control, Gospel Life Church retains full control and discretion over donated funds and may redirect funds when a designated need has been met, becomes impractical, changes materially, or cannot be completed as originally anticipated. When reasonably possible, funds will be used in a manner consistent with the donor’s stated charitable intent.

Tax Treatment

Gospel Life Church will provide contribution acknowledgments or giving statements when appropriate. However, the Church does not guarantee that a particular payment qualifies as a charitable deduction.

Tax treatment may depend on applicable law, the nature of the payment, whether the donor received goods or services in return, and the donor’s individual circumstances. Donors should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their specific situation.

Contribution Errors and Refunds

Charitable contributions are generally considered final. However, anyone who believes that a contribution was made in error, entered in the wrong amount, duplicated, or made without authorization should contact the Church promptly.

Any refund will be considered according to the circumstances, applicable law, the Church’s financial policies, and the requirements of the payment processor. Processing fees may not always be recoverable.

13. Purchases and Paid Resources

If the Church offers books, event tickets, merchandise, registrations, or other paid resources through the website, additional terms may be shown at the point of purchase.

Prices, availability, descriptions, and fulfillment expectations may change. A charitable receipt may not be available for the full amount of a payment when goods, services, admission, or other benefits are provided in return.

14. Privacy

Use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we may collect, use, store, protect, and share personal information.

By using the website or submitting information, you acknowledge that internet communications and electronic storage systems cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Our Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms and Conditions.

15. Accessibility

Gospel Life Church desires to make its website and ministry information accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

Our accessibility goals, known limitations, contact process, and request-for-assistance procedures are described in our Accessibility Statement.

16. Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may contain links to, integrations with, or embedded content from third-party providers. These may include:

  • Wix

  • Planning Center or Church Center

  • Podcast and audio platforms

  • Video-hosting services

  • Social-media platforms

  • Maps and navigation services

  • Calendar and registration tools

  • Email subscription services

  • Payment processors

  • Bible-study and ministry resources

These services are owned and operated independently. Gospel Life Church does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, accessibility, privacy practices, terms, fees, or performance.

A link to a third-party website does not necessarily mean that the Church endorses every statement, product, service, organization, or viewpoint found there.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s own terms and policies.

17. External Resources and Recommendations

The website may mention or link to books, ministries, counselors, organizations, businesses, websites, or other resources that we believe may be helpful.

Unless expressly stated, such references do not create a formal partnership, agency relationship, guarantee, or comprehensive endorsement. Users are responsible for evaluating whether an external resource is appropriate for their needs.

18. Accuracy of Information

We seek to provide accurate and current information, but errors or omissions may occur. Church schedules, staff information, ministry descriptions, event details, policies, links, and other content may become outdated.

The Church does not warrant that all website content is complete, current, or error-free. Please contact us when important information requires confirmation or when you identify an apparent error.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Gospel Life Church makes no express or implied warranty that:

  • The website will always be available or uninterrupted

  • The website will be free from errors, viruses, or harmful components

  • Every defect will be corrected

  • The information will be complete, current, or suitable for every purpose

  • The website will be compatible with every device, browser, or assistive technology

  • A particular ministry, pastoral, spiritual, financial, or personal outcome will result from using the website

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gospel Life Church and its pastors, elders, employees, volunteers, representatives, ministry leaders, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to:

  • Your use of or inability to use the website

  • Reliance on website content

  • Website interruptions, errors, or security incidents

  • Third-party websites or services

  • Unauthorized access to information transmitted through the website

  • Changes to or cancellation of events or services

  • Loss of data, opportunity, revenue, or expected benefit

This limitation does not apply when liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

21. Responsibility for Your Actions

You are responsible for your use of the website and for any information you submit.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the website, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

22. Suspension or Termination of Access

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to all or part of the website when we reasonably believe that a user:

  • Has violated these Terms

  • Has engaged in unlawful or harmful activity

  • Has threatened the security or operation of the website

  • Has abused a form, registration system, payment system, or communication channel

  • Has infringed the rights of the Church or another person

Termination of access does not limit any other rights or remedies available under applicable law.

23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any legal action arising from these Terms or use of the website shall be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in or serving Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.

Nothing in this section prevents the parties from attempting to resolve a concern informally or through a mutually agreed form of mediation.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

25. No Waiver

If Gospel Life Church does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive the Church’s right to enforce it later.

A waiver of one provision or violation does not constitute a waiver of another provision or future violation.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Accessibility Statement, and any additional terms presented for a particular event, registration, purchase, or service, constitute the agreement between you and Gospel Life Church concerning use of the website.

When ministry-specific or transaction-specific terms conflict with these general Terms, the more specific terms will govern that particular activity or transaction.
